This is a modification performed on the customers own Volvo (often fitted to Renault's) B18FT (1.7 8v turbo) ignition module. The modification removes the factory-set boost limit while un-affecting the ignition map so that original drivability is retained.

Typically with a modified module 15psi of boost is the absolute maximum you should run with standard injectors and turbo. Upgrading injectors and turbo will allow greater levels of boost. We have used these modules safely up to 23psi of boost using suitable injectors, turbo, intercooling, camshaft and modifications to the fueling system/AFM. This results in aprox 230hp and 240lb/ft.

Note: You cannot continue to use the factory boost control solenoid with this modification. You must switch to some other form of boost control such as bleed valve, PRV, electronic boost control, etc.
